Torinturk Livelox - Event: Scottish Spring Middle
We will use the new Course/Class combinations for the SOL, as per the new BOF rules, which the SOA is adopting too. You can read about them here. In particular, the Very Short Green course is new for W75+ and M80+.
For Saturday's Middle race at Torinturk, there is no car parking at the event and so we will be running a shuttle bus from Tarbert Holiday Park (i.e. the Sunday parking/assembly). £4 bus ticket. The other option is to cycle to the event. If you are cycling, it would be best to park in Tarbert village, rather than at the holiday park, so you don't have as much time on the busy A83.
We are delighted to be using these areas, originally mapped in 2022 for Coast & Islands, as they offer fantastic technical orienteering. Maps from Coast & Islands 2022 can be found here:
Torinturk
Tarbert
Corranbuie
Accommodation: The most convenient place to stay is Tarbert Holiday Park. This will be the location of parking and assembly for the SOL at Corranbuie. We will also use it as parking (and toilets) for the Middle on Torinturk, and bus people to the race, because there isn't enough parking at Torinturk.
Organisers are Alasdair Pedley and Mairi Eades. Send any enquiries to [email protected]
