Short (optimal distance approx 2-3km)
Planner's Notes
This is a previously-unused and challenging area for sprint orienteering. Courses involve about 50/50 grassy and paved underfoot, including some short sections of runnable urban woodland. Shoes with good grip are recommended. The area is crossed by major roads which are out of bounds, and should be crossed only at underpasses, which will be clearly marked on the map. The long course crosses one minor road with sparse traffic. Both courses included cul-de-sacs and car parking areas which may occasionally have moving cars. We have risk-assessed the short course as being suitable for technically-competent U16s, but please feel free to discuss with the organiser. SI-air punching will be used.
Officials - Planned and organised by Graeme Ackland (MA)
Entries - Online entries closed, limited on the day subject to map availabilty. Seniors £6, Juniors/Students £4.
Non-BOF/SOA members £2 supplement.
